Visit the Library of Congress's American Memory site and look up information that occurred on your birthday, yesterday, and today. Use this chart to complete the activity.
Look at the statistics using CyberSchoolBus from four different countries of your choosing and answer the following questions. This worksheet might help you.
1. Is everyone able to go to school?
2. Is everyone able to work?
3. Can everyone go to the doctor?
4. What is the life expectancy?
Research your future career at The Career Key. Choose two or three jobs you are interested in and research them using Career Key. Write a short paragraph explaining your choices.
Write a different ending to The Giver.
Create the perfect community. Who would live there? What would the people be like? How would the people spend their days? What would the government be like? Be descriptive.
